I went to that bar
Just to meet up with a friend.
The friend who gets me wasted.
After a while when he hadn’t let me down.
I started notice people.

I didn’t say a word
But you didn’t seem to mind.
I guess it didn’t matter.
I thought you were going home
With some other guy.
I guess you found me better.

I felt alone
And you took me home.
You brought me to your mansion.
You told me of  your life.
And I forced you into mine.
I think I said too much.

You asked me to stay
I thought I’d stay for a while.
Enough to make me hungry.
I thought I wanted nothing
But I wanted you for life.
You’re still here beside me.

We’ve had our times
Like most lovers do.
Times to think it over.
There’s really nothing better
Than to be alone with you.
Whether drunk or whether sober.
